Bruins Suffer First Loss of 2023 Season

Team Now Ranked #15 in AP Poll

**Los Angeles, CA** - The UCLA Bruins football team dropped to 2-1 on the season after falling 31-21 to the undefeated Arizona Wildcats on Saturday night.

The Bruins, who started the season with a pair of wins over Stanford and BYU, entered the game ranked No. 11 in the AP Poll. However, they were unable to keep pace with the Wildcats, who improved to 3-0 on the season.

UCLA quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson threw for 275 yards and two touchdowns, but he also threw two interceptions. Running back Zach Charbonnet rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown, but the Bruins' offense was unable to sustain drives consistently.

The Bruins' defense allowed 431 yards of offense to the Wildcats, including 225 yards rushing. Arizona quarterback Jayden de Laura threw for 223 yards and a touchdown, while running back Michael Wiley rushed for 134 yards and a touchdown.

With the loss, the Bruins dropped to No. 15 in the AP Poll. They will return to action next Saturday when they host the Colorado Buffaloes.
